🧠Who is the Founder of King of the Curve?
What happens when three driven students from different backgrounds come together with a shared mission? You get King of the Curve — a top-tier MCAT prep platform that's helped over 400,000 students level up their scores.
King of the Curve (KOTC) was founded by Heath Rutledge-Jukes, William Kelly, and Andrew-Paul (AP) McIntosh, who met while studying at Florida Southern College. Bonded by their ambition to make studying less painful and more powerful, they created an app that’s by students, for students — and it shows.
And their work hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2025, all three founders were honored on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list for Education.

👨⚕️ Heath Rutledge-Jukes — Visionary, Medical Student, and 522 Scorer
Heath is the brain behind KOTC’s educational design. Currently a medical student at Washington University in St. Louis, he used his background in psychology and pedagogical design to develop an app that makes MCAT prep not only effective but actually fun.
Heath scored an impressive 522 on the MCAT (99th percentile), giving him the insight and authority to build something that actually works. A TEDx speaker and passionate advocate for accessible education, Heath remains deeply involved in content development, constantly optimizing how students learn and retain information.
💼 William Kelly — Business Strategist with a Heart for Education
William triple-majored in Accounting, Economics & Finance, and Business Administration, later earning a Master’s in Accounting from Cornell University. After securing a consulting role at Deloitte, William returned to KOTC to pursue his passion for education and innovation.
Now, he leads growth and communications at KOTC — helping the app gain institutional recognition through awards like the Global Impact Award, TechSTL Startup World Cup, and Missouri Technology Conference. William is a crucial voice in making sure KOTC’s impact is seen — and felt — far beyond test day.
🧩 Andrew-Paul (AP) McIntosh — Operations Pro and Student Advocate
With dual degrees in Psychology (B.S.) and Communications (B.A.), AP graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. He brings both heart and precision to the internal workings of KOTC. From managing talent development and communications to ensuring every system runs smoothly, AP does it all.
His background as an educational researcher and intern, as well as a Toastmaster, has shaped his leadership style — always prioritizing team cohesion, user experience, and community-building. He’s a behind-the-scenes powerhouse making sure the app lives up to its potential every single day.
